Directly behind the dike there is a bathing place at the North Sea in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage "Wattenmeer". BOOK NOW CHECK AVAILABILITY BLOG Bathing fun at the North Sea Directly "behind the dyke" of the campsite, there is a swimming area in the North Sea, located in the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. Due to the tides, it unfortunately doesn't have a sandy beach. However, you can enjoy the day on the water-facing side of the dyke at North Germany’s only dry beach – in a traditional beach chair. The artificially created beach is located right next to the campsite. The dry beach was first opened at the dyke in Upleward in late August 2000 and stretches across an area of 9,000 square meters. Here, children can have fun on various playground equipment, while adults relax on the new seating and lounging areas. The beach was completely renovated in 2020 as part of the “Village Renewal 7 Warfendörfer” program and now features attractions such as a pirate ship, water play areas, a volleyball court, and a beach soccer field. A wheelchair-accessible wooden walkway provides access for people with disabilities. Projects like these are partly funded by the local tourism tax, which supports regional development. In case of cold or bad weather, you can visit the Greetsiel Swimming Oasis. With the North Sea Card, you only pay the entrance fee once, and from your second visit onward, you can use the pool for free. The Wadden Sea, which was declared a World Nature Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 2009, offers the possibility to walk on the mud flats at low tide – this is exciting for big and small explorers, but please walk with a guide. At high tide you can go swimming in the North Sea. The surrounding area invites you to go hiking, inline skating and cycling. For cyclists, theme tours are developed. On small side roads, mostly without a steep slope, you will cycle almost without car traffic. The fresh sea air is very healthy. Many of our guests have been coming to our site for years as it offers perfect rest. Camper Leuchtturm Starting at the camping park, the tour goes along the outer dike towards the lighthouse of Campen. Germany's highest lighthouse with its 65,3 metres was extensively renovated in 2020. The construction method of 1889 is similar to that of the Eiffel Tower and was an architectural novelty back then. Anyone who takes the trouble to climb the 320 steps up to the lower gallery of the "East Frisian Eiffel Tower" is rewarded on clear days with a view that reaches as far as Borkum and over the Krummhörn to Emden. If your Internet connection does not work immediately, we have summarised the most important points for you. You can find out here what sources of interference there are and how you can solve Wifi connection problems: What are the sources of interference on the campsite? The network is weather-dependent – strong wind and rain have a negative effect on the connection. Are there trees, walls or caravans in the way? You can find out exactly where the masts are located on the attached map. Are you using an outdated terminal device that does not have a good antenna and therefore a weaker transmission power? Other electronic devices such as microwaves can interfere with radio signals. What do you have to do if you don't have WiFi? Connection is best when a Wifi mast is visible in the direct vicinity. Use a Wifi repeater or extender to pick up and amplify the Wifi signal. Please do not park the caravan directly in front of a Wifi mast so as not to interfere with the Wifi. The campsite is completely occupied and every guest uses WiFi. How much bandwidth is left per user? We have not set a limit per user. So the guests get up to 50 Mbps download. However, if the entire campsite is occupied and all guests are streaming or using Wifi access at the same time, each user is automatically throttled down by our router. We offer first class and fully furnished Buerstner chalets with 2 bedrooms and about 38 sqm of floor space. Of course, you will also find a nice bathroom with shower, a separate toilet, a fully equipped living-kitchen area with satellite TV and a terrace with garden furniture. For wheelchair and walking frame users we have a Tobs chalet with ramp, widened doors, low shower and a lot of space to move around. This chalet is ideal for guests with prams, too. Arrival is guaranteed from 3 p.m., the departure is until 11 a.m. to allow the cleaning work can take place. We take a deposit of € 50.00 for each booked object. Please note that pets are only allowed on request, because some of our accommodations are reserved for people suffering from allergies. Of course, all our chalets are non-smoking areas. You can then see the flame through the small opening. Then adjust the fan to distribute the heat throughout the room. Gas stove Select the control knob for the desired hob and set it to the Max. Press the control to release the gas. You can now ignite the gas flame. Press and hold the knob for 10 seconds after ignition. The flame then burns safely.
